Adolescent Program (Ages 14+)

Adolescent Program

Helping Teens Reset the Path Before It’s Too Late

When a teen starts experimenting with substances, acting out, or disconnecting from school and family, adults often don’t know how serious it is — or what to do.
At In The Gap Academy, our Adolescent Program is built for youth ages 14 and up who are showing early signs of risk. Whether it’s marijuana use, defiance, mood swings, or peer influence, we meet teens where they are and help them make real change — without shame, judgment, or one-size-fits-all treatment.

Our approach is simple:
Listen to them. Support them. Equip them.
Because teens don’t thrive under control. They grow with connection.

Who This Program Is For

Teens who have started using marijuana, alcohol, or vaping

Youth referred by juvenile court, diversion programs, or schools

Adolescents struggling with emotional regulation, peer pressure, or impulsive behavior

First-time offenders or those at risk of suspension, expulsion, or detention

Kids acting out due to trauma, grief, or family instability

Teens who shut down, withdraw, or “just don’t care” anymore

This program is ideal for families who feel like they’ve tried everything — and don’t want to wait for things to get worse.
ITG’s Adolescent Program Works

Why ITG’s Adolescent Program Works

image

It’s Designed for Teens, Not Adults

We don’t repurpose adult content. We use language, examples, and strategies that teens relate to. Sessions are interactive, relevant, and real — not lectures or scare tactics.

image

It Addresses the “Why,” Not Just the Behavior

Teen substance use is often a symptom of deeper stress. We explore trauma, identity, family dynamics, mental health, and emotional survival strategies that influence behavior.

image

It Includes Families

We support parents and caregivers with education, tools, and space to rebuild communication — without turning the home into a battleground.

image

It Offers Peer Connection

Teens engage in small groups where they can be honest, supported, and challenged by others who get it. Peer support builds trust and reduces resistance.

image

It’s Culturally Responsive and Safe

We work with BIPOC youth, LGBTQ+ teens, system-involved youth, and kids from under-resourced communities. No assumptions. No shaming. No stereotypes.

Let’s Take the First Step Together

Most clients who come to us have tried other programs — and left feeling judged, dismissed, or stuck. What makes ITG Academy different is that we don’t just treat the symptoms. We treat the systemic barriers holding people back.
You don’t have to do this alone. And you don’t have to settle for less. ITG Academy offers treatment that transforms — because we treat the whole person.
