You can’t rebuild your life if you don’t know where you’re sleeping tonight. You can’t heal when you’re constantly in survival mode. You can’t plan for the future if you’re bouncing from couch to shelter to street — or worse, back to environments that created the problem in the first place.
At In The Gap Academy, we believe housing is not optional — it’s a critical part of treatment, reentry, and long-term success. That’s why we provide safe, stable, and supportive housing pathways for clients navigating recovery, justice involvement, and major life transitions.
Our Housing & Transitional Support services are more than shelter. They’re about safety, structure, and the space to grow.
We offer multiple options to meet different levels of need — whether a client needs a short-term bridge or a longer-term place to stabilize.
Housing Assistance
Help finding, applying for, and sustaining housing — including base-rent support, document help, and coordination with outside providers.
Transitional Housing (In Development)
A structured, recovery-centered living environment designed for clients exiting incarceration or intensive treatment who need time and support to stabilize.
You can’t expect transformation without stability.
We don’t just focus on sobriety or compliance — we focus on the real-life environments that make change possible.
Housing is treatment.
A bed, a shower, a lock on the door — these aren’t luxuries. They’re the baseline for any human being trying to recover, regroup, or restart.
Dignity should live at the center of every housing model.
We don’t warehouse people. We walk with them. Our housing services are trauma-informed, non-punitive, and built around restoration.
Transitional support must be more than a handoff.
Whether someone’s coming out of jail, inpatient treatment, or homelessness, we provide wraparound support to help them stay housed and move forward.
Clients in treatment (PHP/IOP/OP) who lack stable or safe housing
Returning citizens exiting incarceration with nowhere to go
Individuals recovering from domestic violence, substance use, or street homelessness
Clients transitioning out of shelters or inpatient programs
Young adults aging out of youth services or foster care
Anyone who wants to rebuild — but needs a place to start from
We don’t just help people find shelter — we help them create a plan for stability.
Client-Centered, Not Compliance-Obsessed
Our housing is structured, but not punitive. We use respect and accountability — not control — to help clients thrive.
Integrated with Recovery & Life Skills
Clients don’t just get a roof. They get access to employment support, life skills training, peer mentorship, and clinical care — all under one umbrella.
Housing Placement with a Plan
We help clients prepare for housing success: getting IDs, managing money, navigating applications, and learning tenant responsibilities.
Culturally Competent & System-Aware
We understand the barriers Black and Brown clients face in accessing housing. We advocate, collaborate, and stand in the gap — because equity requires action.
Reliable placements for treatment-adjacent housing
Strong coordination with probation, parole, and reentry programs
Clear eligibility, documentation, and communication
Integrated care model that keeps clients housed and engaged
Outcomes that show: when people are housed, they succeed
Most clients who come to us have tried other programs — and left feeling judged, dismissed, or stuck. What makes ITG Academy different is that we don’t just treat the symptoms. We treat the systemic barriers holding people back.
You don’t have to do this alone. And you don’t have to settle for less. ITG Academy offers treatment that transforms — because we treat the whole person.
